January 25, 2021 — Urban Freight Lab researchers Giacomo Dalla Chiara, Fiete Krutein, Anne Goodchild, and Andisheh Ranjbari were awarded the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting Urban Freight Commitee (AT025) Best Practical Implications Paper award for "Commercial Vehicle Driver Behaviors and Decision Making: Lessons Learned from Urban Ridealongs".   "We are very excited and grateful to the Committee for the recognition," said Dalla Chiara, Urban Freight Lab Research Associate.

December 7, 2020 — OnRout, a real-time bidding platform for shipping carriers, has been named the grand prize winner of the Urban Freight Lab's (UFL) fourth annual Tech Day: Last-Mile Delivery in the New Normal pitch competition for early- and mid-stage start-ups around the world working to improve the final 50 feet of the delivery process. "We're honored to be invited, and to be recognized as the winner by this group of industry experts is thrilling," said OnRout founder Jonathan Hessney.

September 30, 2020 — The Urban Freight Lab (UFL) at the University of Washington is now accepting proposals for its fourth annual Tech Day event, a pitch competition for innovators designing solutions for the last mile of the urban goods delivery system. June 25, 2020 — The Master of Supply Chain Transportation & Logistics program (MSCTL) has named incoming student Valerie Cawby (MSCTL '22) winner of the 2020-22 SCTL Scholarship Award. Cawby will receive $20,000 towards tuition expenses over the next two years. "I know there were a lot of qualified and deserving candidates for the scholarship," said Cawby.
