May 25, 2018 — Urban Freight Lab Director Barb Ivanov will present Final 50 Feet research as part of a session on “The Explosion of E-Commerce and Urban Growth” at The Toy Association’s Summer Business conference, an exclusive educational and networking forum for senior-level finance and operations executives and credit and logistics managers of manufacturer members. Taking place June 11 to 12 in Seattle, Wash., this year’s event is hosted by Amazon.
Other highlights of the two-day conference include:
- A tour of Amazon’s Fulfillment Center in Kent, WA, followed by a working lunch with Amazon speakers;
- An overview of Amazon Toys by Eva Lorenz, Amazon’s general manager of toys and games;
- A session on “Credit Risk Analysis” covering key retailers presented by Creditntell;
- A review of retail accounts for credit and finance managers;
- A workshop for credit managers on the “Challenges of Today’s Credit and Collection Environment”;
- A “Beyond Credit” breakout session for senior finance and operations executives;
- A presentation on business valuation (“What’s Your Company Worth?”) by Sean McGowan, managing director of Liolios Group;
- A presentation on Credit Card Merchant Fees and PCI Compliance by Aaron VanStone, president of The Processing Brokerage;
- A session on “E-Commerce Impact on Supply Chain Logistics” by Fed Ex senior attorney Emily Beline; and
- A presentation by U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and U.S. Customs and Border Protection representatives on “Import Surveillance: What CPSC and CBP are Looking for, How to Reduce Inspections, and What to Do if Your Shipment is Stopped”
