Urban Freight Lab Post-Doctoral Researcher Sarah Dennis-Bauer and Research Assistant Travis Fried have been named Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC) Outstanding Students of the Year in the Road Mode category.
Each year, students are selected by U.S. Department of Transportation-funded University Transportation Research Centers for this prestigious award, which is presented at the CUTC banquet during the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting in January. The awards recognize outstanding students, faculty, and leaders in transportation research and education.
Fried was nominated by Pacific Northwest Transportation Consortium (PacTrans), and Dennis-Bauer was nominated by the National Center for Sustainable Transportation (NCST), both recognized for their exceptional contributions to the field during 2024.
